House Plan 40213 is only one story, but the high-pitched hip roof gives it a massive neighborhood presence. European accents are found in the arched entry and arched feature windows with board-and-batten shutters. The angled position of the three-car garage is a pleasant deviation from the typical straight, front-facing designs. From the garage, you pass through the laundry room where you can leave any muddy sports equipment that you would rather not bring into the home. The dining room is semi-formal: it’s separated from the other rooms, but three large doorways make it open and inviting. A small “back” entrance to the kitchen makes serving convenient for formal meals. For those who don’t want a complete “open-concept,” the kitchen is walled-off from the living room except for a large, angled counter top that gives your guests a place to chat with the cook. The living room features a corner fireplace, built-in shelf system and a soaring 10’ ceiling. Connected to the entry hall is a home office and a coat closet and a hallway leading to the three children/guest bedrooms and shared guest bathroom. A brief, angled hallway leads from the family room to the master suite, giving it a subtle separation from the living space and evoking a feeling of retreat and relaxation. The family room and kitchen have an open concept, and spatial separation is achieved with a large island. The dining room adjoins the kitchen and has an exit door to the back porch. A mud room and laundry room are located off the garage.

House Plan 40206 has an interesting gambrel style roof over the garage. The half-timber gable and barn style garage doors with strap hinges makes it quite unique. The front porch is welcoming with thick craftsman style columns and exposed rafter tails. Inside, we have a similar arrangement of bedrooms and living space to what we have in the previous plan. Instead of a small hallway to three guest bedrooms, this plan has a large entryway to two spacious bedrooms and a shared guest bathroom. Bedroom 2 has a walk-in closet, and the guest bathroom has an optional double vanity. The master suite is accessed from the rear of the home and includes a huge walk-in closet and ensuite with all the modern amenities. The living space is all open and grounded by a massive fireplace in the family room. Enjoy spending time with family and guests as the design allows for easy traffic flow from the back porch to the breakfast nook, kitchen and into the family room.
