Modern Craftsman House Plan 51978 | Total Living Area: 3311 SQ FT | Bedrooms: 5 | Bathrooms: 3.5 | Garage Bays: 3 | Dimensions: 77’10” x 88’8″
Curb appeal is achieved with vertical siding and a multi-colored stone skirt. The vaulted entry porch is dressed up with solid beams in the columns and eave decoration.
Walking inside, you will appreciate the open design with volume ceilings. Ceiling beams run lengthwise in the great room and give the space an impressive appearance. Curl up on the couch in front of the gas log fireplace.
Central to the kitchen is a large island with eating bar. Abundant cabinet space is provided, but a pantry is right around the corner to hold supplies that you don’t need on hand for everyday meal prep.
You won’t be able to resist spending time on the back porch. It features a vaulted ceiling, gas log fireplace and complete outdoor kitchen where you can entertain in style.
Other rooms include: an office with built-ins right off the foyer, powder room for guests, mud room with lockers off the garage, and complete laundry room with counter space and utility sink.
All children’s bedrooms are located on the right side of the home. Each offers a walk-in closet and access to spacious baths.
The master suite includes a luxurious master bath with large custom shower and separate sinks. The laundry room is conveniently located to and accessible from the master bath through a pocket door.
This plan offers a standard crawlspace or slab foundation, but there is also an optional basement. If you choose to finish the basement area, the possibilities are endless! You could add an in-law or guest suite, theater room and game room to name a few popular options.

I’m planning a 40 x 60 garage with an apt. Upstairs. Attic trusses will give me a 20 x 50 living area but I need to incorporate large dormers and I’m not sure how the layout will look. I will need some help with this layout. Do you have any concerns about using attic trusses will large dormers.
The information about Modern Craftsman in this blog is very useful. I really appreciate it and apply whenever decide to go for a craftsman.
