Farmhouse Style Home Plans

Farmhouse style homes are most commonly identified by deep, sprawling covered wrap-around porches that often shade more than just the front of the home. These homes are closely related to Country style homes, but generally give the impression of having a higher physical profile. Farmhouse homes are warm and inviting, but they may not appear to be as “laid back” as their Country cousins. (Think “Midwestern dairy farm,” as opposed to “Southern country home.”) More often than not, Farmhouse homes have two levels, although the style also includes one story designs. Sizes can range from small to quite large and the homes are most often clad with lap siding.
