Best-Selling A-Frame House Plans

A-Frame house plans are often built in cold climates where the steep pitched roof aids in shedding heavy snowfall. Suited for lakeside retreats or everyday living, these rustic homes are like a beacon of comfort. A tall chimney promises a roaring fire in the winter, and the deck offers a sunny place to enjoy the view on a summer afternoon. Below we are featuring our best-selling A-Frame House Plans.

Coming in at number four on the list of best-sellers is House Plan 57368. With classic A-Frame proportions, the roof almost reaches the ground on both sides, and we are faced by a wall of glass looking into the living room from the deck. A great little vacation cottage for a couple, the total living space is 908 square feet. Though this home has only one bedroom, plenty of storage space is available both on the ground floor and upstairs. A hunter or fisherman would surely appreciate the simplicity of this practical getaway.

At number three on the list is House Plan 65446. At 1301 square feet, 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, this design has room for the average family. A beautiful arrangement of windows makes the façade very appealing, and the front terrace invites the homeowner to set up an outdoor dining area and a couple of lounge chairs. The designer likes to classify this design as a chalet because of the overhanging eaves and wooden beamed interior. Over the living room, dining room and kitchen is a soaring cathedral ceiling which gives the space a luxurious atmosphere. One bedroom, laundry closet and bathroom are located on the first floor, and two additional bedrooms and shower room are located above.

Under the deck we have a walkout basement to be positioned on a sloping lot. Imagine the view from your living room couch if you build this home facing a lake in the mountains. Taking up the loft upstairs is the master suite with huge bedroom measuring 19’8” x 19’3”. Stand on the balcony right outside the door for a view through the tall front windows. French doors open to a sundeck on the back of the home, and the master suite is complete with a walk in closet and bathroom with shower, double vanity, Jacuzzi tub and private toilet.
