Barndominium Plan With 2nd Story Loft (Plan 41870)

Barndominium Plan With 2nd Story Loft (Plan 41870)

2-story Barndominium Plan 41870 has 4,601 square feet of living space, 3 bedrooms, and 3.5 bathrooms. Children’s bedrooms are located upstairs, and the primary owners’ suite is on the main level. There is so much room in the huge garage/shop. Four garage doors of various sizes will accommodate all of your vehicles. For example, the first door measures 15′ x 9′, second door is 16′ x 14′, third door is also 16′ x 14′, and the final door on the back of the garage is 8′ x 8′.

Barndominium Plan with Wrap Covered Porch

Buyers will choose Barndominium Plan 41870 for several reasons. Firstly, it has a great covered porch which wraps around three sides of the living space. From the dining room, walk out to a section with cathedral ceiling which measures 18′ wide by 24′ deep. Here is a great place to set up the grill and enjoy outdoor entertaining with friends and family. Notice that there is also a smaller section with a cathedral ceiling at the front door entrance. This entrance boasts a welcoming set of French doors which open into the warm kitchen.

Secondly, buyers love the huge garage space. We’ve already noted the door sizes, but now let’s take a look at the overall size. From right to left, the garage is 100′ wide by 50′ deep, however, part of this area is taken up by the living space. Included in the garage is a shop area, mechanical room/laundry room, bathroom with shower, and kitchenette. Thirdly, buyers love the loft. Notice the abundant loft space upstairs. Kids will turn this into a game room, but really, there is so much square footage that you will need to get creative to maximize use of the space.

Great Master Suite and Lots of Storage

Let’s talk bedrooms next. Bedrooms 2 and 3 in Barndominium Plan 41870 each have a walk in closet. The occupants share a full bathroom, and it’s designed conveniently with a pocket door inside. The pocket door separates the toilet and tub from the double sink. On the main level, Mom and Dad have a sweet tile shower, soaking tub, double sink, and two enormous walk-in closets. Pass through one closet to access the large safe room. Pass through the second closet to access the laundry room. Talk about convenience!

Living room with fireplace, dining area, and kitchen with island make up the open living space. The oversized kitchen pantry is a walk-in that will impress the cook in the family. Off the entry, you can access the den through a set of double doors. In conclusion, this plan is designed so that you will never run out of space whether inside the house or out in the garage. Thank you for your interest in our architectural plans!

Unfortunately, I cannot provide a good estimate for you or a turn-key price. There are lots of variables like material selections and fluctuating material costs and pricey vs economy builders. Wish I had a better answer for you, but we don’t build; we only provide blueprints. For the most accurate average cost per square foot, we recommend asking local builders.

If you are looking at a single-family home plan, you may want to consider purchasing a QUICK-Cost-To-Build quote provided by Home-Cost.com. Click on the Cost To Build tab on the plan’s details page. Here you will have the option to purchase the QUICK-Cost-To-Build for any single-family house plans which you are interested in. Remember that the QUICK-Cost-To-Build is based only on the living space listed for that particular house plan and on the zip code in which you are building. It is not specific to the materials needed for that house plan. Please read the limitations and assumptions associated with the cost estimates.
