New Traditional House Plan

New Traditional House Plan 72697 has 4,274 square feet of living space, 4 bedrooms and 5 full bathrooms. Curb appeal is achieved by a number of special details. We love the combination of siding—cedar shingles, stone and red brick dress up the façade. A balcony with iron handrails is perched over the front porch, and a bay window is topped with a copper tin roof. The garage has barn-style doors to remind you of an old-fashioned carriage house.

Inside, there is a formal dining room to the left, but it’s not enclosed like you would find in an older home. A two story ceiling gives you a feeling of luxury in the great room, and the fireplace is the perfect focal point. Notice the open rails of the staircase which allow for more light to enter a space that would otherwise be enclosed and dark.

Connecting the formal dining room and kitchen is a butler’s pantry, and it opens to a walk-in pantry. The kitchen has a double oven and large, angled island which divides the space from the breakfast area.

A mud room serves as a pass-through to the garage, and the bench and coat closet are convenient places to drop off bags and boots. Open the next door to find the laundry room which is fully-stocked with a utility sink.

At the opposite end of the home we find the study. It has a convenient access door to the hall bathroom, and it could easily double as a guest room.

Enter the master suite through a handsome set of French doors. First impressions are everything, and you will love the sitting room which features a fireplace with built-ins. Beyond is a beautiful tray ceiling over the bed area and a door leading out to the deck. His and hers closets are accessed from inside the master bathroom, and the room has everything you would expect including a shower, tub, double vanity and private water closet.

The kids upstairs are well-provided-for as they share a computer loft and a second loft where they can gather around the fireplace. Each bedroom has a full bathroom, and two bedrooms have access to a porch. Make it even better by finishing the bonus space over the garage.
