House Plan 80229

Perfect for a narrow lot, Historic House Plan 80229 is 30 feet wide and stretches 56 feet in depth to give you a total of 3020 square feet. From the street, we admire a symmetrical, two story design with double porch. Solid brick columns support the upper porch which features traditional Doric columns. Paint the porch ceilings haint blue, and your home would fit into any southern town dotted with homes from the 1800’s. Not only is a light shade of blue attractive, it will also keep the ghosts and spiders at bay according to old folklore.

Choosing a basement foundation on a sloping lot will allow for a drive-under garage, big recreation room with half bath80229-p2 and storage / severe weather room. On the main floor, we have the living room, study, dining, kitchen, breakfast room and family room with fireplace. The laundry room is located upstairs which is convenient for the four bedrooms. Notice the beautiful boxed tray ceiling in the master bedroom. You may also consider using one of the smaller bedrooms as a sitting room.

Craftsman House Plan 80239 is very appealing with barn style garage doors, front facing gables and a mixture of stone and cedar shake siding. Interior photographs of the completed house show beautiful wood floors and thick white crown molding throughout. Coming up the stairs, you will notice decorative metal spindles and looking up, wide arched entryways. The great room has an 18’7” vaulted ceiling with large craftsman style rafters over an elegant set of built in cabinets that frame the fireplace. An interesting arrangement places most of the bedrooms in the walkout basement downstairs. A bump out off the master bedroom makes a comfortable sitting room with ample windows and access to the covered patio. Two more bedrooms, a laundry and family room complete this level. As a bonus, bedroom four offers enough privacy off the garage that it could be used as an in-law suite or a rental.

balcony over the main entrance and finally two dormer windows on the rooftop. On the main level, the master suite enjoys a private sundeck where you can survey the back of the property. Double vanities, private toilet, shower, bath and two walk in closets complete the master suite. From the formal dining room, you can just picture the cook swinging through the door with a steaming platter. For informal meals, place a table next to the bay window, or move it outside to the screened porch. Everyone will enjoy gathering around the fireplace in the winter- we love how this open design makes it easy for family members to spend time together. Guests would appreciate bedroom two as it features a walk in closet, private bathroom and access to the covered porch. Bedrooms three and four each have a walk in closet and share a bathroom with double sinks.
