Listen for the pitter-patter of raindrops on the metal roof during a quick shower on a spring day.<\/p>\n

For those chilly days, you will like the back porch even better. Huddle around the fireplace for warmth and fire up the grill for a family cook out. Mosquito season won’t stop you from enjoying the outdoors either. This porch is screened in and fully protected. Fans overhead offer a gentle breeze on hot summer days. All of these features are must-haves for a home in the South.<\/p>\n

The Great Room is appropriately named because it’s a great, open space in the center of the home. Sliding glass or French doors allow plenty of light to stream in from the back of the house. Furniture should be placed centrally in the room to encourage an easy flow to the dining room and kitchen when you’re entertaining.<\/p>\n

The Kitchen has a huge island which invites friends and family to gravitate to a bar stool and chat during meal preparation. The homeowner who\"\" provided the photos chose light and bright finishes for their kitchen. White marble is paired with a gray back splash of tile. Glass-front cabinets enhance the openness of the space. Stainless steel, professional grade appliances will impress the cook in the family.<\/p>\n

The more utilitarian rooms of the home include a guest bathroom and a fully-stocked laundry room.<\/p>\n

The guest bathroom is found at the entrance, but it’s also a discreet location because the kitchen wall blocks it from view. A shower is tucked in under the staircase, and a second doorway leads to the den. If you have guests over for the holidays, the den quickly converts to a bedroom.<\/p>\n

No one likes chores, but the laundry room is painted in cheerful blue, and it has a sink and counter space for folding clothes. You can walk in to the laundry room from outside if you need to shed muddy boots before entering the rest of the house.<\/p>\n

\"\"Located in a private corner of the home is the master suite. Luxury is found in the walk in shower with its white subway tile surround and rain shower head. Double vanities offer plenty of storage in shaker style cabinets, and the counter is gray marble with modern rectangle sinks. Upstairs, we have two bedrooms, and each occupant has a walk in closet and private bathroom. The sitting room would make a great place for a game room or lounge for watching movies.<\/p>\n
