Home Plan Hits Every Item on the Family Wish List

The exterior of Traditional House Plan 95967 is a contemporary combination of light brick and gray siding, but of course you can finish it with your choice of colors. Light glows from multiple windows, and the glass front door is given a halo effect with sidelights and classic porch lanterns.

We have room for the average size family with 2,240 square feet of living space, 3 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms.

Many of our clients have expressed that their current homes are lacking in various ways, but this home hits the nail on the head in regards to the average wish list.

One of the most frustrating sources of clutter is an inadequate entryway. If you don’t have a place to put your coats, they will instead be deposited in heaps on the couch or draped over the kitchen chairs. Bookbags will be dropped on the floor next to the door, and mail will clutter up your counters.

This design, however, offers a coat closet in the foyer, and the garage entry has a mud room where you can leave shoes and hang up clothing and other items associated with work or school. A pocket door also leads to a powder room where you can quickly freshen up after a long commute.

In many homes, the washer and dryer is often placed in inconvenient areas: sometimes it’s in a closet in the kitchen or in a cold garage. Naturally, most homeowners prefer to have a separate, out-of-the-way room to tackle the laundry, and this design does not disappoint. The laundry room is located inside the home where you can enjoy the air conditioning, and it’s also tucked behind the mud room so you don’t have to listen to those athletic sneakers bumping through the dryer’s tumble cycle.

This home will have you fully-prepared for entertaining. The dining room is separated from the kitchen to offer just the right formality if you want to host a holiday meal for the family. For everyday meals, the breakfast room serves you right off the kitchen, and the table is framed by a lovely bay window which looks over the back yard.

Friends and family will be drawn to the bar seating that separates the kitchen from the great room. A pantry is built into the corner of the room, and the layout puts everything at your fingertips.

Although we don’t need a fireplace to stay warm these days, it’s still a very popular feature in new homes. This design does not disappoint as the great room is outfitted with a large fireplace and a vaulted ceiling.

In the master suite, you will find a bay window, coffered ceiling and a large walk in closet. All expected amenities are included in the master bath as well: whirlpool tub, separate shower and double vanity.

Upstairs are the two kids’ bedrooms and shared bathroom. A loft area provides the perfect place to add a couch and tv so they can hang out with friends.
